In 2014 I completed my PhD at Cardiff, while also gaining some experience working at the GEO600 detector in Hannover, Germany. I joined the Virgo collaboration at the end of 2014 and am located at the LAPP in Annecy-le-Vieux. My work focuses on the low latency detector of gravitational wave for electromagnetic follow-up.

I am a INFN Senior researcher (Primo Ricercatore) and international coordinator of the GraWIToN project. I am collaborating to the internationalization of the European Gravitational Observatory and in this role I am coordinating the ELiTES project, a collaboration aiming to the exchange of scientists and know-how between European institutes involved in the Einstein Telescope (ET) project and the Japanese institutes that are realizing the KAGRA GW detector. I have been P.I. and Scientific coordinator of the ET Design Study, funded by the European Commission in 2008-2011 and currently I am co-leading the ET activities. In 2004-2008 I have been “Virgo detector coordinator”, managing all the upgrading activities of the interferometer. In 2005 I have been the P.I. of the Exploratory Workshop “Toward a 3rd generation European Gravitational Wave Observatory”, funded by the European Science Foundation.
